Adidas today released the uniquely styled Bayern Munich home jersey for the 2024-25 season, marking the first time a regular home jersey has been created using three shades of "Bayern Red." The designers cleverly used a diamond pattern to reinterpret the fan-favorite vertical stripes, creating a subtle connection to both the club and the Bavaria region.

The deep red and bright red wavy lines intertwine, giving the already distinctive traditional jersey a modern flair, making it eye-catching and creating a sense of flow that highlights the abundant vitality of Bayern's players. The deep red Adidas logo, three stripes, team crest, team name, and sponsor's logo contribute to the third shade of "Bayern Red."

In fact, the three varying shades of red also pay a subtle tribute to Bayern's remarkable achievements. As the only German team to have won the treble, Bayern Munich's men's team secured the Bundesliga title, the DFB-Pokal, and the UEFA Champions League in both the 2012-13 and 2019-20 seasons.

The diamond pattern is an iconic element found in Bayern's crest and the Bavarian state flag, deeply rooted in the club and Bavarian traditions. Printed on the red fabric, it adds meaning and depth to the design. The club's motto, "Mia San Mia" (We are who we are), is adorned on the back collar, paying homage to the unwavering support of the "Stars of the South" and the fiery passion that unites players and fans alike.

An Adidas design spokesperson stated: "For Bayern, red is not just a color; it symbolizes the club's origins in Bavaria and has been an integral part of the team's identity for over a century, as evident in one of the team's nicknames, 'Die Roten' (The Reds). We aimed to create a jersey that pays tribute to this color while presenting it in a unique way. After careful consideration, we decided to combine the striking bright red with understated deep red printed details, making the jersey instantly recognizable on the pitch while instilling a sense of pride in both players and fans when worn."

The new jersey is the result of close collaboration between Adidas and Bayern's men's and women's teams, featuring a lightweight design and advanced Adidas technology aimed at enhancing player performance and helping them shine under pressure.

The player version of the jersey features HEAT.RDY technology, designed to provide a comfortable feel and support players in delivering stellar performances. The fan version, equipped with AEROREADY technology, uses moisture-wicking fabric to keep fans dry and comfortable as they cheer on their team from the stands.
