Adidas today unveiled the new Real Madrid FC away kit for the 2024-25 season. The designers have taken the liberty of using a full-page starburst on the shirt, suggesting a ‘star chain’, meaning that when the Galacticos visit other stadiums at home or abroad, they will know they are home by the stars above them.
The striking orange colour of the jersey is not new to the club or to ‘Meilinger’, as it has appeared on many occasions in previous away and second away kits. Orange was chosen as the main colour to symbolise optimism, joy and enthusiasm, as well as to pay homage to the second away shirt worn by the ‘Whites’ during the 2013-14 season, when they achieved European glory, and to convey the Madridistas’ pride in the club’s achievements and their hopes for the future.
On the new shirt, the details of the night sky are complemented by an orange background. Deep blue, fluorescent blue and metallic blue-black are presented on the collar, Adidas logo, club crest, sponsor logos and the three stripes on the shoulders.
We are honoured to have the opportunity to redesign the club’s away kit each season, bringing a classic, yet fresh look to both seasoned fans and a new generation of fans,’ said Sam Handy, Senior Vice President, Product and Design, Adidas. This year’s Real Madrid away shirt is no exception, and the shades and colour combinations we’ve chosen reflect the ambition of the Galacticos, who have so many promising stars on the horizon. As the Whites leave the Bernabeu for away games, we look forward to seeing this dazzling shirt shine on the streets and on the pitch.’
Adidas has maintained a close working relationship with the players throughout the development of the new jersey. The jersey features a lightweight design and is packed with Adidas avant-garde technology designed to enhance the players’ athletic performance and help them shine under pressure.
